SALOMON

Champs-Elysées flagship store & Le Marais Concept store

For Salomon, setting up shop at 42, avenue des Champs-Elysées and in the Marais district is a way of loudly proclaiming its French know-how and making it visible to international urban customers!

The challenge for retail3D was to design, in record time and within a reasonable budget, a flagship store expressing all the brand's innovations, as well as its highly authentic & technical positioning, but also a trendy lifestyle concept store to express fashion and the new urban spirit.

How do you combine outdoor DNA, sports performance and a lifestyle image in a flagship store, then in a concept store?

Our approach

We designed the facade in respect of the architecture of the Champs Elysées and the emblematic gesture imagined by Manuelle Gautrand for Citroën. A gesture reinterpreted as snowy mountain peaks.

The majestic ceiling height creates a 2-level showcase, and from the entrance, a hypnotic chandelier catches the eye and rises into the hopper. It overlooks the staircase and leads to the basement, while a 7-meters-high screen showcases the brand, its origins and its new urban spirit.

Both on the Champs Elysées and in the Marais, the materials chosen underline the brand's outdoor roots, but also its technicality and innovation: rough plastered walls, wooden benches and rough stone blocks for the mountain / resinflooring, glossy finishes, mirrors and brushed stainless steel for the tech & sport sides.

Particular attention has been paid to storytelling, highlighting iconic products, and customer/product experience...

A design that evokes both the mountain and the city; emotion and technology.

The result

A design that makes a lasting impression and generates excellent press and social media coverage!

A real success, which enabled SALOMON to create a maximum connection with its consumers during the Olympic Games, and to establish itself with the Parisian and international target groups.

The concept is also a commercial success, with very positive consumer feedback (NPS 94).

The concept has now been adopted in all new openings: Paris Beaugrenelle, Paris Parly 2, Milan, London Soho & Coven Garden...
